Guest Biography

Jessica Formoso is a three-time Emmy Award-winning bilingual reporter for FOX 5 News in New York, where she has been a trusted voice since joining the team in 2015. Known for her fearless reporting and deep community connections, Jessica has covered some of the region’s most impactful stories - from Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy to the Ebola outbreak and the surge of unaccompanied minors arriving in the U.S.

Prior to FOX 5, she served as a general assignment reporter for News 12 Networks, including News 12 En Español, where she built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, culturally fluent reporting to diverse audiences.

In 2013, she was honored with the Garden State Journalists' “Best TV–General News” award for her coverage of the Mexican Red Cross's assistance to Sandy victims. A proud member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Jessica holds a degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in economics from Hofstra University.

She lives in Eastern New York and, outside of the newsroom, enjoys quality time with her family and friends, staying active, and creating meaningful memories with her loved ones.
